Erna Rosenstein, Aubrey Williams. The Earth Will Open its Mouth

Surrealist landscapes, chctonic motifs, references to traumas and historical violence. The threads in Aubrey and Rosenstein paintings, picked up by the exhibition, where supposed to be accompanied by a design that is both pared-down and rapacious, reflecting the esthetics of deconstructed realism and the turn to the inside of the things. Thats why the walls on the exhibition reveal its hidden construction. By being transparent, the architecture makes it possible not only to look inside, but also enables the focus to flow freely between different works presented on the exhibition.
